We enjoyed this wonderful hotel in March 2023. The staff were professional and helpful. Our family had 3 different rooms, and all were pleasant and very clean! The breakfast buffet was lovely with many options. The street was quiet, but with everything in walking distance -- close to the Latin quarter but still quiet!, the Luxembourg gardens, numerous charming old bistros, and the river not too far away. It was like having a comfortable cocoon in the middle of everything. Please note: if you stay at a hotel in France in the 'off' season, they may be doing some routine updates or maintenance work to get ready for high season, so don't be surprised if you occasionally see construction materials etc. This happened at a couple different hotels in our March trip, including this one, and it was all fine nothing obnoxious.
Room was clean and the staff were pleasant. Hard to justify this as "4-star" hotel. Main thing is that the alleged "air conditioning" was little more than effectively a fan. Visited in mid-June. Our first room wouldn't cool down below 80F, moved to a temporary second room smaller / diff bed than we originally booked that was perhaps in upper 70's, and then a 3rd room that wouldn't not cool lower then mid-70's F. Outside and lobby were both cooler than our room could achieve. Sheets felt muggy and damp at those temps unfortunately. Otherwise, nice location and fine boutique hotel. But far from worth the price. :- Chambres : see comments on failing AC. Hotel just too old of infrastructure.
Good location but the hotel needs a little updating as the rooms look tired. i was there in mid June and they had serious air conditioning issues. i mentioned it to reception a few times an they first asked me to open the window how did i not think about it before!!!! and when i pointed out that the air outside was as hot as it was inside they said they would send someone to check it, in the end they sent me a fan instead. i dont think you can justify these air conditioning issues in a supposedly 4 star hotel.
It was supposed to be our second time at this hotel which is very well located indeed. However, the rooms are a bit dated and small for a 4****. We booked again after we had received an offer for a 30% discount from the hotel. 5 days ahead of our stay, the rooms were cancelled by the hotel. The hotel decided to change the booking conditions and then offered us the room for more than double the price !!. Never experienced anything like that before. Very dubious business practices. Luckily, Paris has thousands of nice hotels, so we found something better in no time. Don't trust or rely on this hotel!
I arrived at the hotel on my birthday. I hoped that they would give us a room at 2 pm, but at the reception they said that they would check in at 3 pm. As a result, we were given a room only at 3:45 pm, and the luggage would be brought next. In the room we waited for our luggage for more 25 minutes we really wanted to change clothes after the flight to go to a restaurant, then we went down and picked up our luggage ourselves. Here is such a service. By the way, the hotel has no practice to congratulate their guests on their birthday, even verbally
Fantastic location. They have an elevator albeit small which is a great help. Rooms are a nice size. 24 hr reception. Our aircon was not effective. Brekky can be a bit chaotic. Rates are good Accessibilité piétonne : Located in Luxembourg and near the Sorbonne
Small hotel, in a great location, just off Blvd St. Michel, near the Sorbonne. Room was small, but the bathroom was good. The staff was terrific, breakfast buffet was very good, and the bed was comfortable. You can't beat the location. We could easily walk to Luxembourg gardens, the Pantheon, St. Chappelle, Notre Dame, any number of restaurants and shops. Accessibilité piétonne : Extremely walkable, one of the best locations to really see Paris.
Un rapport qualité-prix mitigé avec quelques aspects positifs J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel récemment et je tiens à partager mon expérience pour aider les autres voyageurs à prendre une décision éclairée. Tout d'abord, je dois admettre que j'ai eu la chance de bénéficier d'un tarif abordable pour mon séjour, ce qui a rendu mon expérience globale un peu plus acceptable. Cependant, il est important de noter que le prix habituel pour une nuitée est assez élevé, environ 409€. Pour ce tarif, je m'attendais à une expérience de qualité supérieure en tant qu'hôtel 4 étoiles, ce qui n'a malheureusement pas été le cas. Commençons par les aspects positifs. Les gels douches fournis étaient de la marque Nuxe, ce qui était agréable et ajoutait une touche de luxe. L’emplacement était parfait ! Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et varié Juste le café était mauvais. Cependant, il y avait plusieurs problèmes qui ont nui à mon séjour. La taille réduite de la salle de bains était un inconvénient majeur, rendant son utilisation peu pratique et inconfortable. De plus, la peinture qui s'effritait et les tuyaux visibles dans la salle de bains étaient des signes de négligence et de manque d'entretien, ce qui est décevant pour un hôtel de cette catégorie. Le comportement du personnel a également été un point négatif. Leur manque d'amabilité et d'attention envers les clients était évident, ce qui a terni l'atmosphère générale de l'établissement. Un service de qualité et une attitude bienveillante sont des éléments essentiels pour créer une expérience agréable lors d'un séjour à l'hôtel. En résumé, bien que j'aie pu bénéficier d'un tarif abordable pour mon séjour, je ne suis pas convaincu que le rapport qualité-prix soit vraiment satisfaisant pour une nuitée à 409€ dans un hôtel 4 étoiles. Les problèmes de la salle de bains, tels que sa taille réduite, la peinture défraîchie et les tuyaux visibles, ainsi que l'attitude peu aimable du personnel, ont été des aspects décevants. Les gels douches de la marque Nuxe,l’emplacement et le petit-déjeuner étaient un aspect positif ,mais ils ne suffisent pas à compenser les défauts majeurs rencontrés.
One of the best locations in Paris! Being so close to Luxembourg Park is great, as well as walking distance to Pantheon, Notre Dame, and Lourve, all under 3km away so a decent walk, but totally doable. Rooms are a little worn out, but they are clean, and the window shutters and small balcony are adorable. Staff were amazing, allowing us to check in 6 hours early, and giving us free champagne for our honeymoon! Other than that special treatment, the staff were still lovely, and room was straightened up daily if we wanted.
Lovely hotel staffed by welcoming and accommodating staff. A great location right by the Luxembourg Gardens and the Panthéon with ample transport connections including a Metro stop just a few minutes walk away. A delicious breakfast service that is totally worth the cost and their after checkout bag storage service was invaluable. The room was also very comfortable!
